Primers

Awlgrip offers a comprehensive range of chemically compatible Primers, Fairing Compounds and High Builds to support its high performance topcoats. These products are designed to suit all differing substrates and practical application considerations.

545 Anti-Corrosive Epoxy Primer is a two-component epoxy primer with corrosion and adhesion properties for steel, wood, aluminium and fibreglass substrates. Is also used to seal filler primers and fairing before applying topcoats. Used as the undercoat for the topcoat. Apply by spray, brush or roller. May be used above and below the waterline.

Hullgard Epoxy Primer is a two-component epoxy primer ideal for surface below the waterline and offers excellent anti-corrosion protection. A fast re-coat time and long overcoating window is ideal for any job.

Mil-Spec Anti-Corrosive Epoxy Primer is a two-component anti-corrosive strontium chromate epoxy primer for aluminium and steel with excellent chemical and solvent resistance. Fast re-coat time. Can be topcoated without sanding. For use above the waterline only.

Final Prime: a two-component high solids, low voc, epoxy finishing filler with high build characteristics. Can be used as a topcoat primer.
