Tooling Products
SP North America offer a range of tooling products for the aid in plug manufacturer, from a sprayable tooling compound for use with CNC machines to a low shrinkage polyester filler and a polyester based surface primer.
POLY-FAIR T27 is a sprayable modified polyester compound designed specifically for milling with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) multiple axis machines. This material combines unique qualities of low shrinkage, very high resiliency and easy cutting with carbide tools with little or no dust generation. The high mechanical properties of T27 enablesthe pattern maker to avoid fibreglass reinforcement of the pattern surface.
POLY-FAIR F26 is a water resistant, low density polyester-based fairing compound. POLY-FAIR F26 has good adhesion to cured fibre-reinforced polyester and vinylester laminates. POLY-FAIR sands easily, gives a hard finish after a full cure, yet is not brittle and has good impact strength. Poly-Fair F26 is supplied as "S" (summer grade), and "W" (winter grade)
Poly-Fill P96 is a high quality sprayable polyester sanding primer. Poly-Fill gives an easy to sand, tough and damage-resistant surface. Poly-Fill is commonly applied to poly/vinylester laminates, which have often been faired with POLY-FAIR F26, our trowelable, sandable polyester-based fairing compound. Poly-Fill can be polished to a high gloss surface. Poly-Fair F26 and Poly-Fill are often used in combination for plugs and moulds.
